I found it weird that people are so picky about SC vids. It’s not 100% A+ all the time, but these guys make out and fuck with passion, and you don’t see that in most gay porn companies. @Chris I agree. Not every studio has A+ scenes there will be duds. But sometimes SC’s worst scenes are better than other studios’ best scenes. It’s sad really. Studios seem to care less and less about the potential chemistry between the models, and they don’t understand that the lack of chemistry is a do-or-die situation in porn.
And honestly the pay of the model doesn’t mean anything about the performance of the model. Randy Blue and NextDoor Studios are some of the highest-paying studios, and even they have their bad scenes with underperforming performers. Some would argue moreso lately for those two studios.
I’d say whoever is doing the model hunting, scene pairing and directing are doing a pretty damn good job at SeanCody, and if they lose that crew Sean Cody could lose some of its spark.

@DVLaries it’s not magic, it’s heavy heavy heavy handed directing. These scenes take up to 12 hours to film. Yes, for 30 minutes of action they film for 12 hours and the models are told what to do every microsecond. I commend them for creating a product that feels somewhat natural… it’s not natural.
@SXG You’d be surprised these guys aren’t so fresh faced outside of the studio. More than a few of the most popular guys on Sean Cody have meth or other drug addictions, have been to jail, and are in and out of trouble. Sean cody has great lighting, makeup, and directing. That and they pay TOP dollar to get straight guys who would never do porn for the paltry amounts big studios pay.
