My stepdad worked late tonight and Dylan made dinner before he went out. I still don’t have a lot of friends. Maybe I can change that this fall when I start college. Grant has a deep soul buried beneath the sweet, respectful, forever smiling appearance he displays, yet he also has an abundance of turmoil within him resulting from the crap that was beaten into him by his stepfamily. After his first confession with Reverend Patrick I learned a little more about him, knowing he was not a virgin and having gone all the way with other boys and seeking something else, an older man. I was pretty far along in my apprenticeship and was certainly well aware of the rules I was meant to abide by. Of course I wanted to remain in good standing with the leaders of The Order, so I knew better than to test their patience when it came to me pushing the boundaries that were already set in place.
