What is up with Leo Giamani and others like him?
I have NOTHING against the man, he’s not unattractive and certainly nicely built and well endowed. But apart from his educational claims he also presents himself as a “Straight man” the so-called Gay4Pay performer.
I was browsing through the photo’s posted under this heading and it dawned on me that this “straight man” probably has had sex [active and passive] with more men then me and he’s had things pushed up his rectum that I can’t even claim having played around with [take a look at the baton Nash Lawler is “pleasuring” him with]
Given all of the above the questions I like to get answered are:
1. “How straight is straight?”
2. “When does straight become Bi- or Homo sexual?”
I can understand a desperate straight man allowing another man to perform fellatio on him for money. None of my straight friends however would consider having penetrative sex with another man, no matter how desperate they are. I accept that some straight men might be more open to the idea. But when a man regularly has penetrative sex [active and passive] with other men I have to wonder about his claim to heterosexuality.
To all these self proclaimed Gay4Pay performers I have one thing to say:
“It is alright for you to try and fool the public, but it is extremely sad if you’re trying to fool yourself”
There really isn’t anything wrong with being Bi-sexual or Gay, basically you are already living the life [more then most Gay men] you are having sex on film with a great number of men performing acts that most of us have never done or even considered. Furthermore many of you dance and escort for additional income. I would think that admitting that you are Bi-sexual or Gay should be easy. If you honestly think that you ARE straight I suggest you seek help because this can’t be a healthy/ sane way [psychologically speaking] for you to earn a living.

I agree with you! The last couple of porn movies I’ve seen were rather similar [positions etc] and if the performers were not the same they had extremely similar looks. What bothers me the most, however, is the complete lack of passion between the performers and that it all looks so terribly choreographed.

It seems to me that the “exclusive contracts” offered these days are the cause of the same scenario’s and positions we see movie after movie. The likes of RS/HH/Falcon and Titan do not vary any of their scenes so it does come across as lack lustre and mechanical which in turn equals boring. Additionally, they all seem to use the same pool of non-exclusives like Rod Daily, Tristan Jax, Josh Griffin etc etc. So here we have the studios using their exclusives movie after movie and them using the same non exclusives time and time again. Makes for dull viewing unfortunately and as mentioned by Robert a “bore” Also have to agree with Adam, that the Amateur sites are the ones who are lifting their game and giving what the paying public want to see, fresh faces, hot scenes and passionate sex. You biggie studios better pull finger and come up with some movies that demonstrate hot m2m sex and not mundane and drawn shoots that are as hollow as a hole in the ground!

this is just what I think about the gay for pay thing, its very simple. Saying that they are “straight”, just keeps them more in the closet and a another way for them to have sexy with men, which clearly they like to do. Saying its for the money, is just as old and as real actors saying that playing a gay role will make ppl think they are gay.
If they hand any balls they would just say they are gay or even bi. atleast it would be honest.

The big picture here is margin and short and long term strategizing. It’s interesting to observe new business paradigms created and old ones destroyed. Legacy studios just seem to have difficulty adjusting to what the Internet has introduced into the playing field – failure in their attempt to reinvent themselves. This business sector has flattened and segmented so much – good for consumers but requires ingenuity and luck for future entrepreneurs.

I don’t think you can stay in the closet and do porn – i think it is two of the following things:
a. Marketing, productions make more money marketing their performers as ‘straight’.
b. Salary Command, performers are better able to get more money.
Also the sex on film is not really the sex on set. It is a lot less hot, very boring, and very technical and repetitive. Basically, it is a series of stop and start positions to get the right shots, and the performers have to is stay hard during those moments – they can do that with Viagra and straight porn. The rest is fantasy, just like the actual gay performers, they close their eyes and think of someone else they’d rather be with.

The legacy studios (good term, btw) better come up with some ingenuity, and that includes doing away with exclusives, which is probably going to be a financial necessity anyway. Take Titan, haven’t we seen enough of Dean Flynn, Tony Buff and Francois Sagat on covers by now? As far as Leo, or any of the G4P guys, fucking or getting fucked by men in front of a camera seems a rather odd way of asserting one’s heterosexuality. I do think there are many shades along the sexuality continuum, but look at Cody Cummings, Johnny Castle, Mark Dalton (I’d just as soon not, btw), but that’s probably what you get with straight guys doing porn. On the note: See the indie movie Humpday where two straight friends contemplate making a porno together on a dare; besides being a good movie, it’s probably a realistic portrayal of how even open-minded straight guys would act (on the notion of having sex together).
