In some ways, I’m glad to see the American models at BA refusing to do the bareback scenes, because I think everybody should always be using condoms. On the other hand, it seems like a vague whiff of a double standard, as if they’re saying “Americans are more likely to have HIV so we need more protection from them.” Which may in fact be true, but still, I’d rather the studio had stayed all-condom all the time. I would say that maybe the Americans are simply more aware of the risks and not so easily persuadable, but that’s certainly not the case when they’re on their own soil so why would it be over there?
