Gayhoopla was always doomed IMO because they had two straight men, Lal El and Dmitry Dickov, producing content for gay men. Sometimes they got it right, but too many times they missed the boat.
In the age of Only Fans, Just For Fans, 4 My Fans, etc., Gayhoopla will never survive producing solos only. I’ve subscribed to the site “on and off” over the years. I’ve also purchased many scenes when Gayhoopla started offering that option a few years ago. I HAVE ZERO interest in subscribing to Gayhoopla or any site that only produces jerk off and solo scenes. I doubt many gay porn consumers are interested in solo only scenes either, especially when there’s so much good content featuring raw fucking.
I could be wrong, but if I were a betting person, I’d wager that Gayhoopla will be out of business before the end of the summer. I won’t be sad to see it go, but I’m kinda’ sad now as I liked many of their scenes.

It has been 10 years into this industry and Gayhoopla has learned nothing about what appeals to the gay consumer, which is gay, raw sex. There is a section of us who do enjoy gay4pay. But, let’s be serious, porn viewership is a fantasy so if they think gay men will pay for solos when OF, Just for Fans and even free Twitter provide raw/bb content, they are sadly mistaken. It’s not just goodbye Gayhoopla, but many of the once great sites are a shadow of their former selves. Chaosmen springs to mind. Once filled with beautiful non mainstream gay and Bi men, which was what made it unique. Now it’s all the usual guys who have performed for years across many sites.
