I don’t understand this antipathy some hold toward bareback porn. Technology has progressed to the point that an HIV test takes all of 15 minutes for results that are effectively bulletproof. Who told you HIV tests “are effectively bulletproof” ? Go read any public health website to see just how uninformed that statement is. There always has been and still is a significant lag time between when a person is infected with the HIV virus and capable of infecting others and the time when that same person will test positive. In other words, for at least several weeks after a person is infected (and is capable of infecting others) that person will test negative on all of the currently available HIV tests. The newest tests have cut down this “lag time” but they have not eliminated it. It is still at least several weeks and often several months. That is hardly “bulletproof.” And ignorant statements like this are why infection rates are now going up.
