I wouldn’t take that statement negatively against gays. He did a solo and the question that follows to that is will he be doing hardcore, he just gave an honest to goodness no answer. He’s looking out for himself. Whether or not he’s doing it in a misinformed (debatable) way is besides the point and an exclusively personal choice for him. There’s no 100% way of eliminating the chances of catching stds in a relationship and even more so in the profession. Like, I think I’m good enough but I’m sure as hell I wouldn’t be doing porn for several reasons (my health included) and that doesn’t make me unfriendly to gays. Condom + prep doesn’t guarantee 100% protection. testing has windows that can be exploited to have sex and possibly catch something. Do some research.
And respecting someone else’s stand on one thing–especially if it’s a deeply personal choice like having sex as a profession–even if his reasons for it doesn’t really fly with you or some others should never be seen as wrong.
