“Ballet school accused of kicking out dancer for doing porn,” the story about porn star Jett Black was reported on CBC News this morning. Now it was discussed on most gay porn blogs – The Sword, Men of Porn, Banana Guide, Fleshbot, etc.
An aspiring ballet star is accusing the Royal Winnipeg Ballet of unfairly kicking him out of its school after he began acting in pornographic videos.

Wake up to reality. Did this guy really think a legitimate ballet company would want a porn actor on their very competitive roster? He made the choice and should have been able to figure our the consequences.

@ Olly and @ Matias. Yes it is fair. Ballet dancer is not an actor… Second what he demonstrated in rehearsal room is quite dilettantish and he is to old for one ballet careere ( not to dance something different, but not “ballet”) and then “porn excursion”…so it was good for him that he was oblige to leave ballet school. Just a good reason. And on the end “ballet” is to demanding and delicat performing art and so different from other forms of dance and for dancer very short life on stage. With 40 is the end of careere and is only for dancing pension… but this is good to make fus and self promotion.

I am sure that the ballet company has a reputation to uphold, just the same as many other businesses do. What people do and say outside of the companies they work for can have negative consequences because they are associated with that comany though employment. Is there a problem with doing porn … the people on here reading this blog would say “no”, but the benefactors funding this ballet company and the dancers struggling to get a spot in the company may think otherwise. Employing porn stars is just not the repuation that most companies want to have. It is unfortunate that this young man was too naive to see that. And, maybe they fired him because he just wasn’t as good a dancer in comparison to everyone else. If that is the case, then I am glad he has a porn career to fall back on.

He is not a very good ballet dancer.
I have been a company classical dancer for twenty years. I see from his technique that he is not among the best.
But as a porn star, he is world class! 🙂

He would have been kicked out of the ballet even if he had shot straight porn.
I dont know about his technique in ballet but ballet, obviously ,builds great butts and thus his technique in getting pounded is awesome…
I dont think he has a problem to change his career either…

almost every company..restaurant,school,whatever has a morals clause. and he was damn stupid to think they would accept it .SHOULD they..obviously up for debate. WOULD they, obviously no. not today..probably not in ten years.

If ‘he was not a very good ballet dancer’, I don’t think he would have made the cut to dance before the Queen of Denmark.
