10th Annual Cybersocket Web Awards was held at the Eleven nightclub in the heart of West Hollwood, this year hosted by Chi Chi LaRue and Jason Sechrest. And this is the first time my blog Queer Me Now was nominated in the Best Porn Blog category. Thanks everyone who voted for me. But the Porn Blog award goes to Queer Click, Congratulation!
Reese Rideout won Best Porn Star! Many popular porn sites like Naked Sword, Bel Ami Online, Randy Blue, Cocky Boys, Corbin Fisher, Hot House, C1R, Brent Everett and Men At Play won an award. While Movie of the Year award goes to MEN of ISRAEL!

I voted b/c I come here and read this blog and was asked to. So I voted for QMN and two or three others, but I have to say these awards are a joke. A “fan” on Wolf Hudson’s blog—I guess with a lot of time and e-mail addresses—said that he voted for him 50 times. (And what would Wolf Hudson do if he didn’t have some kind of gay award to beg people to vote for him for? I’ve never seen a straight man work so hard to ingratiate himself to the gay community.)
Another example of what I suspect is some sort of mucking around with voting: CockyBoys for Best Amateur site over Sean Cody, Randy Blue or Corbin Fisher? And what is the distinction btw best amateur site and best original content? All the amateur sites are original content. Seems like just a bullshit way to hand out a bunch of awards, rendering them even more meaningless.
I don’t have a beef with Reese Rideout; cute guy with a hot body. But Best Pornstar? C’mon.
It’s not like there’s any integrity in porn. Whatever the Cybersockets are, they’re just like the GAYVNs, a self-congratulatory (and dishonest) industry clusterfuck.

After working at in industry for one of the major producers for a few years (no longer), I can tell you it’s just like Hollywood in who gets the votes is based on who campaigns the best, in either “gifts” like trips, or dinner outs all the schmoozing for these little ego maniacs…asking who their favorite model is from our company was always common, then ‘asking’ said model to be ‘nice’ to that person. Like having the model join us for dessert at the right time and walk whoever back to their place…nomination signed, sealed delivered.
If you want scandal on a grand gayporn scale just research the GVG Awards (Gay Video Guide). Controlled by one guy Sabin Grey (who went by “Sabin. One name like Cher, please”). His little dirt rag GVG was the “it” thing in the 90’s…producers would go ape to be in, have their image on the cover etc…it was a fuckin’ ‘zine! Color cover in glossy stick, newsprint on the inside, more spelling mistakes and typos then God…shitty stuff. Yet we had to kiss this queens ass for days. And he ran it with his buddy Mickey Skee, who was also with AVN. Fuckin’ WeHo white trash bags. They were like Golden Globes and the Holly Foreign Press Association…So the cybersocket thing is nothing new….BTW, if Cody Cummings leaves NDB Media, he might not be able to use his name, as they “own” it.

Why would Cody want to leave Next Door. He got the gay4pay dream job.
