When I typed turn into fat, I clearly didn’t mean turn into fat. What I meant was building up fat. And Brian, I do agree with parts of your statement but we can’t change the way people judge another. You must agree that a big muscle stud sleeping next to you is better than an ugly fat man snoring next to you. For me, I put a lot of effort and dedication in building muscle because I want to live a healthy live and I figured that if I can’t change how others view me, I will change myself. But the last thing I want is to be a bodybuilder. Their body form is not sustainable. For example, Governor of of California/ the terminator: Arnold Schwarzenegger.

That’s a PRETEND world. Many of the “models” will tell you that they go to dangerous lengths to get that “thin skinned” look. Hindsight being 20-20 I wish I had never done steroids but
the standard in much of gay culture, and out of Hollywood, is an
(almost) unrealistic image of physical perfection. Like any
addiction there is never a sense of enough. I am 5’8″, 220 lbs. and
still feel skinny. Muscle dysmorphia is the same concept as
anorexia where your mind simply cannot capture the truth of your
own reflection. I know that for me after seeing bottom guys like
Cayden Ross or Vince Ferelli, I only want to see big, muscular
bottoms. I know the bigger I got, the more attention I got, even
from straight guys, and undoubtedly guys that chose to do porno are
risk takers who are obviously unconcerned about
consequences.

@gaysammy, one can only speak for oneself about any of these things. Maybe it’s because I live and work in the film business but I see amazing bodies everyday. I love bodybuilding because I find nothing as beautiful as a man’s body. To me it’s not a sport, it’s an art form and yes you do have to have been born with the right genetics. You can thank your parents for how you look. Most gay men I know do chose their sexual partners because of how they look, and they often find their partners at the gym. Sometimes these relationships become more than sex. Straight guys tend to chose women for how they look as well. There are intelligent, biological reasons for this. In nature a strong, powerful body is a healthy body which innately we are attracted to. I have done and admitted doing steroids but I hate how guys that have never done them accuse anyone with a good body of being a juicer. I think it’s just a matter of jealousy. Superficial? Yeah, I suppose. Yes, muscle guys, tend to go for muscle guys but I like all different types of athletic bodies. But I don’t know anyone who seriously bases their aesthetic values on gay porno. I guess I’m fortunate but every single day I see amazingly handsome, well-built guys at my local gym. One of the reasons I love California.

I don’t know where you’re coming from (west hollywood?) but I live in michigan and I would say that most of the guys around here are average. I work at a gym and can say that daily I see tons of guys who have the bodies of gay porn actors. It depends on where you live whether or not people care enough to dedicate enough time to fitness. The gay porn look is a total reality, but people often try to go above and get one of these guys without actually putting in the time and effort to achieve it themselves.
