BA isn’t liberal at all when it comes to breaching the contract, and there’s no exception of that rule, – even Zac De Haan, one of the brightest rising stars of the studio, was fired immediately after shooting for another company just a couple of months ago. It’s either you’re working exclusively for BA, or you’re not working for BA at all. The same goes about BA active models escorting, BTW, – the rules are very strict about that.

I’m not so sure about that. There’s a fine that goes with their termination and I remember Zac was just let go without having been fined. Seems to me like they’re willing to compromise to an extent. But like I pointed out, you can get away from a non-compete with a technicality since straight porn can be viewed as not in competition with gay porn.

As much as I now, it’s either fine (and very serious one), or termination. George Duroy, gods bless him, is ruling his company with an iron hand, – may be that’s why BA is just blossoming and getting more and more successful in our hard (for gay porn) times. It’s not about competioning gay and straight porn at all, – it’s strictly about shooting for another studio, which is absolutely prohibited by the rules of a contract, no more, no less. All we can do is to be sorry for Roald’s stupid mistake and to hope that BA has enough of his videos to release them for years (as they do it with Zac’s material).

No, there’s a 20,000 euro fine to it. Actually, breaches like this almost always come with a fine to give the agreement some teeth to it. In another gay blog, Duroy was quoted regarding Zac’s case that “..just letting the model go is nice enough.” But he also said “..models…shooting elsewhere is usually not tolerated.” Now I don’t know if by “elsewhere” he meant other gay productions since the contract isn’t exactly a downloadable form in the site but if it doesn’t or it just refers to a competing entity, then like I said there’s a leeway on technicality. But he did say “usually” so this shows it’s not exactly set in stone. After all, the innocent party in a breached contract may always choose to let the offense pass. Though no one can really speak for BA unless themsleves so I guess we’ll just see what happens

In the US, a lot of non-compete agreements are hard to enforce because if they did it would prevent you from earning a living at what you do which is gay porn, so mostly a scare tactic. But maybe that’ll is why they usually leave and do straight porn since it doesn’t compete directly with the gay porn.

Roald is as far as I know very popular at BAOL, and I DO hope he still works with BelAmi. As someone wrote we don´t know if Roald already has left BA, and after that started doing straight porn.
